I’m so confused. My phone auto updated to 26.0.1 and now whenever I’m listening to anything, Spotify, YouTube, and I’m scrolling on Facebook everything is fine but once I go to close the Facebook app, all audio pauses. I don’t understand why because it’s not like I’m listening to anything through the Facebook app? It’s only started happening with the 0.1 update.

You may have a different pattern, but most users in this thread said that updating Facebook fixed it for them. You might try updating all of the apps.
And if you are closing apps by going to the App Switcher and swiping up on an app to kill the app that can cause it also.
Anyone saying “there’s an update that fixed this” is flat out wrong. This is ongoing and not fixed.
So experiencing the same issue and this person posted this on 10/02/2025 and you think an update from July will fix the issue?

I have tried everything. Turned off Facebook auto play, deleted, reinstalled and updated apps and iOS. Nothing has worked for me. It keeps turning off the sound.
October 10th. I updated both apps, and the issue persists.

I still have iOS 18 and it started happening too, so I would say is not iOS update the issue but facebook’s.

But my audio will stop when I close other apps too… Most notably Amazon and Facebook but it’s not just Facebook that does it 😢
