MacBook Air screen duplication and lines after password reset attempt

After recently trying to reset the password word and not completing the process. I left MacBook unused for about 5-6 months . I finally remembered my password and logged in only to realize the screen is doing this funky double up with a few lines through it . I can see the whole display down to the applications. But it’s mirroring the top half of the screen
