Advice on using Mixlr and Zoom on MacBook Air M4

I have recently purchased the MacBook Air M4 last weekend and I need advice on using Mixlr and Zoom apps for a live podcast that I am about to do this coming Monday. I am struggling at the moment of trying to get the audio settings sorted but every time I tried to do that it seems it's not connecting. I tried following steps online on YouTube by using BlackHole but so far nothing's working. The way I was hearing feedback was echoey or unclear. Can anyone please advice me on this matter?

It shouldn't happen. You are using a quality studio microphone, correct?

The way I was hearing feedback was echoey or unclear.

Get someone else to confirm the sound quality using a remote Mac. The sidetone you perceive through a headset could be misleading.

The way I tried to configure was after getting BlackHole, I toggled between three different apps and yet I thought I had the right idea sorted until I could not trace my steps. No matter how many times I tried it seemed like I either missed something or am I looking at the wrong perspective.
