ChatGPT subscription shows blue question mark icon in App Store


When I view my subscriptions in the App Store, the ChatGPT app displays a blue question mark instead of the proper app icon. The subscription itself is active and working normally - this appears to be only a visual display issue in the subscriptions list.

I’ve tried:

• Restarting my iPhone

• Signing out and back into my iCloud account

• The issue persists

My internet connection is working fine - all other apps and App Store content load normally.

Device: iPhone 16 Pro

iOS version: iOS 26 (latest stable)

Is this a known bug with the App Store icon cache, and is there a fix beyond restarting the device?

If there is any consolation, I have the same issue but with the Apple Music app. I tried to troubleshoot it but no luck there and after scouring the internet for a solution, I couldn’t find any that helps fixing it. Eventually, I contacted the support team and after few attempts of trying to fix it I ended up with a senior advisor and ironically we found out that he also has the same issue but wasn’t aware if its existence!

In conclusion it seems like a bug/glitch with the icons and if it catches enough attention it should be sorted in the next update rollout!

Hope that puts some minds at ease, and if you’re curious about the troubleshooting steps please give me shoutout and I will post them (even though it didn’t resolve the issue).
