Carplay audio not working in 2025 Tucson after a short break

I have a 2025 Tucson. The carplay stopped working. It was working fine after all the updates (ios26.0.1). I turned off the car for about 5 minutes to get a coffee and when I started it again the sound would not come back on. The carplay is showing up on the car, I can make a call but I cannot hear anything. (Yes the volume is turned up). My apple music looks like it is playing on the dash but again no sound. I am puzzled, how can it work fine one minute and stop the next. Any suggestions. Thanks

Wondering if the car's infotainment system requires a firmware (or app) update in order to restart the sound and / or to remain compatible with the iPhone's iOS and CarPlay.


The car's manual may provide info. on firmware (or an app) updates, or the manufacturer's support website may have downloads available. (If you use an app from the manufacturer on your iPhone, you may be able to check that for updates.)
