Fitness Data Messed Up After Upgrading to Apple Watch Ultra 3 and iPhone 17 (Goals Reset, Wrong Records, Missing Awards)

Hi everyone,

I’m having serious issues with my fitness and Health data after upgrading my devices, and while I’ve found a few similar reports, nobody ever seemed to have a real solution.

In mid-2024, I restored my iPhone 14 and Apple Watch Ultra to factory settings and set both up as new. During that process, I lost my November 2023 monthly challenge award, but everything else was working fine afterward.

Then, in September 2024, I upgraded to the Ultra 2 — no issues at all.

However, after upgrading to the Ultra 3 in September 2025, things started to get really messed up.

The watch began awarding me with completely wrong new record times and calorie numbers for running, walking, and cycling. On the iPhone, everything still looked normal, but on the watch, it suddenly showed these incorrect “new” records.

After that, I upgraded from the iPhone 14 to the iPhone 17 — and it got even worse.

I suddenly had two different April monthly challenge badges, and my move and exercise goal schedule resets itself every single day.

For example:

I set my goals to 400 kcal / 40 min / 12 stand hours, but the next day they reset to an old schedule I had a year ago (e.g., 350 / 20 / 12 on Mondays).

If I manually change the goals back to 400/40/12, they work for the rest of the day — but reset again the next morning.

When I check the “Goal Schedule” settings, the correct values are still shown there, but the Fitness app and Watch rings show the old ones instead.

To try fixing it, I unpaired the watch, deleted all Health data from the iPhone 17, re-enabled iCloud Health sync, and paired the watch again from a backup.

Now I’ve lost another monthly award (August 2025), so I’m missing two in total.

At first it seemed fixed — record times were correct, and the next morning the daily goals still showed 400/40/12. But after completing a workout, the goals again reverted to 350/20/12!

Also, my “Move Goal Streak” medal now shows around 800+ days, but at one point I had over 1200+, and before deleting and resyncing, it was stuck at 500+ for months and wouldn’t increase.

What the heck is going on with my Fitness and Health data syncing between iPhone, iCloud, and Apple Watch? 😩

It seems, that the new Apple Watch and iPhone models have software issues when it comes to watchOS 26, iOS 26 and fitness data, at least judging by some threads in these communities.

You should report this directly to Apple Techs to make them aware of the software problems by using the Feedback link. This is the only way to reach them:

Yes Im having an issue. My personal best medals for my runs have gone completely wrong saying 12 minutes for 5km and 25 for 10km instead of 23 and 46. The run its using is an old run that isn't even my PB Ive run faster without beating my PB in other runs. The main issue is its will never register a PB now as I can't physical beat the times its now set.
