Legacy Outlook for Mac - Reading Pane

This is a bit puzzling.

I prefer the reading pane to be located on the right, but after the last update, it sits on the bottom.

Yes, I've changed the setting in "Organise/Reading Pane" so it is on the right, but when I restart Outlook, it's back on the bottom.

I don't like the "New" Outlook - and I have tried it - so that isn't an option.

I haven't (yet) tried to uninstall/reinstall it, just yet, and I have posted the question on the Microsoft forum, too.

Anyone else have this issue, please?
