Apple Care applicable to a used Macbook M1?
I'm planning to buy a used Macbook M1 and was wondering whether I could purchase Apple Care for it.
If so, would I be able to replace the battery on it if it goes below 80%?

AppleCare must be added within the following time frames:
That Mac is nearing or has possibly exceeded the four-year mark since the original purchase date. If it's just under four years, then AppleCare One would be the only option. But yes, battery replacements would be covered if the capacity is less than 80% and you're able to add the Mac to AppleCare One. Also note that a diagnostic inspection will likely still be required before being able to add it to AppleCare One.

Thanks, for the answer.
How will they know the original purchase date? Would I have to somehow provide the original receipt?
They can see it based on the serial number.
