How to Open RAR Files on Tahoe without Terminal?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using macOS Tahoe, and I’ve run into an issue where I need to open a RAR file. However, I want to avoid using Terminal commands to extract the files. Is there an easy way to do this on Tahoe without using the Terminal? I'm really not into that; I'd prefer something easy to use and multifunctional. The picture is just for beauty :)

Thanks in advance

You could use The Unarchiver, free from the App Store. Or Keka, not free from the App Store.

Quick question: do people usually just switch to a file manager that handles archives instead of a separate extractor? I swear I’ve seen folks browse and pull files out of RARs straight in their file manager, but can’t remember the details.

As long as all the files in a multipart archive have the same name, e.g., archive.rar.001, archive.rar.002, etc.), then opening the first one and entering the password extracts the whole set.

For Keka, try visiting the developer’s website.
