MacBook Pro M1 Max running hot over FaceTime when using external Dell display
Hi – I have a MacBook Pro M1 Max, and running a Dell U2723QE as a secondary display via the USB-C port. Since upgrading to Tahoe 26.1, if I'm on a FaceTime call on my MacBook, and start a screen share onto the Dell (did this over a presentation recently), the Macbook's fans start spinning up and it runs hot.
I checked the activity monitor and noticed high CPU usage the past few times when working this way. Not the end of the world - once the sharing is disconnected and we're back to the FaceTime call it eventually simmers back down. Prior to the 26.1 upgrade never had this issue. Dell software is current as well.
Appreciate any thoughts/comments ;)
