Automatic Login and FileVault block each other after app update

I recently updated an app on my Mac (RealVNC). It screwed with my settings. Now, I cannot turn on Automatic Login because it thinks FileVault is on. FileVault button is toggled on, but is dimmed out and says that it cannot be turned on because Automatic Login is on.

So, each feature claims that it cannot be turned on because the other is on. FileVault toggle shows that it is on, but it is dimmed and claims it cannot be on.

Before updating, File Vault was off and Automatic Login was on.

Yes, have seen this before

Unfortunately, Apple did not really announce when installing macOS 26 Tahoe

The FileVault would be Automatically witched On and without any direst user interventions like in previous versions

Now back to your Auto Login and FileVault being dimmed out
