Issue on Power on after shutt Down

I have an M4 2025 model, and it was working perfectly, but for the last two days I’m facing an issue. The battery is fully charged, but after shutting it down, it doesn’t turn on. It only turns on when I connect the charger.

Previously, it used to wake up automatically when I opened the lid, but now even the power button doesn’t turn it on unless I plug in the charger. What could be the issue, and how can I fix it?

Your symptoms suggest to me an issue with your battery or internal power management. Try a restart, thus reseting the System Management Controller (SMC) first. The SMC manages power issues among other things.

IF the does tno help you must fave Apple evaluate. You should still be under warranty. If a restart does not help you are beyond doing any at-home remedies .

I've been seeing this with the 2016+ USB-C Macs. I've seen it more with the Intel Macs, but it can happen with the M-series as well. I suspect the Logic Board loses the connection to the battery.....afterwards, these Macs tend to require the power adapter to be connected. I suspect it is more a Logic Board issue because with one of the Intel Macs I repaired, it had a brand new Apple OEM battery & it had that problem, but I guess it could also be the battery's BMU board which is the connection between the Logic Board & the battery cells (it is part of the battery).

I think it is just the new normal for Apple.
