How to revert iPhone update from iOS 26.1 to a previous version?

The recent update has been a tragic mistake! I do NOT like having my text message open over background messages like a glass bottom boat. Most of my apps do not open which I used on a regular basis and instead I get a blank black screen. The camera icon looks like a bubble not a lens. This is a downgrade to poor functioning and unpleasant aesthetic’s. When you create the next upgrade I will be very very hesitant to accept it moving forward.

I think that, if you are change-averse, you should always wait a while after a major release so that you can read what people are saying about it.
