Suddenly not able to connect to carplay

I have Iphone Air purchased on October 4th with ios 26, since then carplay was working seamlessly with my wireless infotainment system , since last week phone is unable to connect. however , all other phones cannect seamlessly to carplay ( iphone 15 promax and 2 iphones XS)

I updated to ios26.2 and still unable to connect to carplay , however phone is connected as Handfree bluetooth for calls and media

tried forgetting and restarting both phone and infotainment system, checked enable restrictions, renaimed both devices, enables siri

funny enough, got iphone 16promax of a friend of mine and face same issue!!

one time it connected when i pressed the wifi in the control center but this trick does not work anymore

any ideas !!! ???

Maybe it is a compatibility issue ... keeping everything up-to-date may help.

Eg: You might want to check whether there is a firmware update available for the car's infotainment system.

The car-manual may have update details, or the car manufacturer's support / help website /

or your car-service company may know whether an update is needed / available,

iphone and VW Infortainment are having the most recent updates

it was working fine until last week with no issues , now no iphone with ios 26 is connecting (tries three iphones) , iphone XS connects normal
