How do I find deleted notes on iPhone when the 'Deleted Notes' folder is missing?

I have a problem with notes on my iPhone. There is no deleted notes folder even though I intentionally deleted a note today to see if I could find it along with another missing one. Either way it doesn’t give me a deleted notes section to look for it. Please help.
