Camera No Longer Working After Updating my iPhone 16 ProMax to iOS 26.2

I am having issues with the Camera no longer working on my iPhone 16 ProMax after updating my iOS to iOS 26.2 a couple of days ago.

Specifically, when I open my Camera, the screen initially shows what I'm trying to take a picture of, but the screen turns gray within about one second, so I have to crash the app and restart it, but it's an endless loop of the screen turning gray. When I switch between the different modes on the Camera (e.g., Video, Portrait, etc.), the screen remains gray. I have tried to take a picture immediately upon re-launching the app (in the fraction of a second before the image goes away), but the image I capture doesn't save to my Camera Roll/Photos. I'm having no problems taking screenshots either; the issue I'm having is solely with taking pictures using the Camera app.

The only thing that worked to fix the issue was restarting my phone (which I tried last night) and I was able to take a couple of pictures immediately after the restart, but it is back to no longer working again today, so I don't know how long that fix worked or when the Camera decided to go out again.

Having to restart my phone every time I need to take a picture is not a feasible option. I had no issues with my Camera whatsoever prior to the iOS update and I have not dropped or damaged my phone in any way since I updated the software, so the only source I can come up with about the root cause of the problem I'm encountering is the software update. Also, I checked for any software updates that could be available to fix the glitch in the app (under the Settings -> General -> Software Update) on my phone and there is no more up-to-date iOS software available.

Has anyone else had this problem and managed to get your issue with the Camera resolved? If so, what did you have to do to fix the issue?
