Why does this happen when I view an external location provided by an app, that the year provided with advanced viewing on iPad is like "January 1, 0001"!? Oh- This probably only happens with TeraBox. Does that work with Drive or Grammarly?

The issue that you observe is, most likely, a problem with the Cloud Provider's App (in this case TeraBox); the installed App provides integration with your iPad's Files App. Something similar can sometimes be seen with Google Drive while performing a large file upload - during which the time/date stamp may be incorrect.
For issues will TeraBox, you would be best advised to seek assistance directly - as (a) they will be best placed to offer appropriate advice, and (b) only they can ultimately resolve the underlying problem. Perhaps nobody else has noticed or reported the problem to them.
