Iphone Itunes

Is it possible to email or text Mp3's OUT of the itunes app on your iphone? These are just regular MP3's..

I make mp3's on my mac and put them into Itunes on my phone. My Mac doesn't have internet so I can only email or text from my phone... But Itunes won't let me send out ....

Anyone have a answer for this? I'd really appreciate it...

Thanks

I’m glad that helped.

I’m also glad that in your original post, you provided enough information about what you were trying to do, how you were trying to do it, and the limitations you were encountering.

Without all that information from you, it would have not been possible to see that potential solution.

I’m delighted this is working for you!

Here’s one final thought:

You told us music is involved in how you make your living. Presumably it would be catastrophic, then, if some hardware failure caused you to lose all your MP3 files and other computer data.

So I certainly hope you are creating good, reliable, regularly scheduled backups of your Mac’s data. Time Machine, which is part of your Mac’s operating system, can do this for you.

Again, you really should not rely on your iPhone to back up your Mac.

Best of luck to you!

This is not possible.

Generally speaking, MP3s are DRMd. They are not intended to share. (Yes, perhaps that is not true in your particular case.)

Further, iPhones are never intended to serve as music repositories. The only music that can ever be transferred from an iPhone is music purchased in the iTunes Store.

This music is on your Mac. Visit a coffee shop or someplace with internet along with your Mac and do your business there.

Thanks for your reply...

You said: Further, iPhones are never intended to serve as music repositories. The only music that can ever be transferred from an iPhone is music purchased in the iTunes Store.

This is not entirely true... Iphones ARE meant to be repositories. This is one of the main reasons for very large gig phones. So you can store tons of music & video. Your own CDs, personal recordings and Itunes store purchases.

I have a power Mac (tower) . This is not a mobile device for coffee shops.

I make a record music for a living. My problem is this. When I do a mix on my power mac I want to be able to send it out to friends & clients but i don;t have internet. And so I can hard wire transfer to my Iphone but then, can't send it from there. Also, the only communication you mac has with your Iphone is ITunes or Photo's. I wish it was a less proprietary system. I'd like to be able to access my entire Iphone from My mac.....
