locked out of iphone

i forgot the passcode to my iphone because i use my thumb print for it but now its asking for my passcode to use my thumb, how do i get back in to my iphone without the passcode?

iPhone SE, iOS 14

Even when you use Touch ID you occasionally need to use the passcode (after every restart for example). To regain access, see the following instructions: If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support
