Well, you can't upgrade to anything newer than OS X 10.11 El Capitan since your Mac is old and obsolete.

According to the footnote, you're on OS X 10.11, so no more updates are available for your current Mac. If you're not, get OS X 10.11 El Capitan here: How to get old versions of macOS - Apple Support. Download in Safari, and backup first!
