iPad won’t turn on

My sons school iPad won’t turn on after his drink leaked in his bag was working but read online to turn off for 24 hours so ports can dry out now won’t come on any help plz

An iPad is not waterproof. Whether the Lightning port itself has dried out or not is largely irrelevant if liquid has penetrated the housing.


Unfortunately, the iPad is likely dead - and beyond recovery.

Liquids and electronics do not mix.

Not sure what kind of “drink” this was, but if it had sugar in it, that just made things even worse.


Is this a new-ish iPad?

Any paid, extended, two-year+ AppleCare+ warranty on this iPad?


If an old iPad, anywhere from 6-10-years old, NOT worth any repair costs.


That iPad is dead now.
