profile picture swapped with iCloud family user

I noticed the problem on Monterey, when I went to log in my profile picture was my wife's. I am the only user on this computer. Then I noticed it in messages that her profile picture was mine. on her phone her profile picture had changed to mine. when she changed her profile picture back on her phone it changed again on my Mac. again, she is in no way signed in on this machine. in fact this is a fresh install as of about 1 week ago. Any idea what's going on here? why in the world should this be happening?

I would advice you to double check that your not signed into the same apple ID.

Including if the account may be the same but showing different emails(after changing apple ID email)

If you are not, I would advice to:

Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

As if you are on separate accounts this should not happen

yeah that's an easy one. we aren't. she has never been signed in on this machine and I have never been signed in on her phone. I'm afraid I'll have to move this up to iCloud tech support. this issue only appeared a few days ago which is also weird. nothing had changed from my install on on this Mac. it just one day swapped profile pictures no other files or settings. just profile pictures.

If this isa one time happening, I'd ignore it unless it became a regular thing.

Computers experience unknown glitches from time to time and there are no fixes.
