iOS 16 iMessages waiting for activation

I’ve just updated to iOS 16 and now my iMessages isn’t working. It just says waiting for activation. I’ve reset network settings, I’ve reset my phone, I’ve turned iMessages on and off and I’ve also powered down my phone. The Apple servers don’t report any problem though? Do I just wait or is there something I need to do? I have an iPhone 12 Pro max

I personally would wait approximately 24 hours or so, if it doesn’t activate then I’d either call Apple and/or go to an Apple Store.
