If my iPhone is plugged can U see wi fi for backup
I want to backup my iPhone. Do I just plug it in and find settings and then iCloud backup?

You can back it manually (the Backup Now option) whether or not it is plugged into power.
For it to backup automatically while charging, it needs to be plugged in. See instructions for both of those methods in How to back up your iPhone or iPad with iCloud - Apple Support
