reset counter bug type 115 Iphone 12 pro max on ios 16.2

Hey, so I contacted Apple support about this issue for like the 8th time. I was able to tell them about the bug 115. They had me restore my phone to factory settings (which sounds scary lol just make sure you select all your apps to upload to iCloud and iTunes and back it up). Then to restore it you hold volume up- volume down- and hold the power button until you see the laptop with the charging cable. Then plug your phone into your pc and go to iTunes. Go to your phone and select restore iPhone. It will take a while but this actually worked for me (so far at least). When it’s finished restoring keep it plugged into your pc and you can get all your settings back. If you have any problems with something not coming back, go to your settings, iCloud and make sure all your apps are turned back on to sync your data from before. Let me know if this helps you. :)

Hmmm…did you do the full factory reset and restore? Like where your phone “acted” like it was a brand new phone?

I have the same issue bug type 115, I was travelling from USA to Australia when suddenly my iPhone suddenly restarted, since then, the phone restarted every 5 to 10 minutes, I had tried to solve the issue with the last Software update iOS 16.3, but is not possible, especially when some features are not available for all regions.

This is so frustrated, I can not do anything with this problem. Can you help me?

I have the same bug problem since December 2022, every day my Iphone 12 Pro max restarts 5-6 times, regardless of any apps. It can also restart, when I don't use the Iphone at all.

First the screen freezes, then the spinning gear appears and the Iphone turns off, after a few seconds the apple logo appears and the Iphone starts again.

This is very annoying, could someone solve this issue?

I have iPhone 11. It was restarting about every 7 minutes ish when I would try to use it. I was finally able to get the newest iOS update because Apple thought that might help, but it made it much worse to where it was restarting every 4 minutes whether I was on it or not.

Hello Mazhoni! That issue can be caused by deeper motherboard level damage or faulty internal components! Apple won’t let me post my website for my repair shop.

No, still having this problem.

I contacted apple support, they ran diagnostics on the phone and said everything is OK. As my guarantee is over, Apple support told me I can ofcourse go to the service center, but will need to pay for it. This is not normal, as the issue is obviously caused by some SW malfunction from their side.

I tried it so far. My phone still keeps on restarting unfortunately... I still get the same "resetCounter 115" but now I get different panic reports each time :D So per day it makes around 5-7 restarts :(

Hi, wondering if you were ever able to get this issue fixed? I’m having the same problem with my iPhone 11 for around 2 months now and apple support has not been able to figure out the problem yet.

I am able to fix this issue 100% I have tons of phones that come through my shop with the same issue.
