Hey folks.

Had my Mac in my bag heading home two nights ago. When I arrived home and opened my Mac it had a line down the left hand side of the screen.

First picture is with me applying pressure to the black bar at bottom of screen and second picture is without

Any body have any idea how I can fix this or does it need to go into Apple?

In general, the only thing they will do if you 'send it in' is replace the entire display. There may be things that can be done that do not require parts, and would therefore be very cheap, maybe even free, at an appointment at an Apple Owned store, if available to you. They will evaluate your Mac and "look it over, in person".

if, after examination, your Mac is really defective, you can get a FIRM quote for getting it back into top-flight condition.
