Since the Apple card requires a different security code with each use, can the card be used for a subscription (e.g., BritBox) that has an ongoing monthly charge? Can the security code that's entered when initiating the subscription stay constant for every month's subscription charge? That's not clear to me. Thanks.

Mastercard offers a service called Automatic Billing Updater (ABU) that notifies the merchant of changes, if any, to the billing method. Most merchants that offer a subscription based service or product will subscribe to the service. Visa, Am/Ex etc. all offer the service.
