Changing payment info

My original payment card was killed due to fraud. I'm trying to put in new payment info and it won't let me. It keeps saying "To continue on this device, verify at least one payment method. You can also delete any payment method that can't be verified and add a new one." Well, when I try to add a second payment method (since #1 was killed for fraud and I don't have that shredded card anymore) I get THIS message: "One or more of your payment methods require verfication."

What can I do to fix this????

I had the same issue... couldn't change the card details through the iPhone ('Manage payments') as it wouldn't let me add a new card or remove existing card details without adding the security verification code from the back of the card that was destroyed.

I found going onto the app store from my mac, clicking 'store' -> 'view my account' and then 'Edit' next to payment information allowed me to replace with a new card.

Your post is confusing. It seems to mix several concepts.

  • You must remove any payment method that is no longer valid. Change, add, or remove Apple ID payment methods - Apple Support
  • You should then (immediately after removing the invalid method) add the new payment information.
  • When you see "One or more of your payment methods require validation", you should gladly accept this. Likely the validation method will be something like a telephone call to your card's telephone number on file, and a validation code. Great!
