Black screen with a white line

I have a iPhone 6plus with a black screen with a white line going down vertically. There was no trauma to the phone. I literally switched off the alarm and went back to sleep. When I woke up I tried to turn on my phone I was met with the described problem. The phone still rings and can receive texts but I can’t answer the calls. Ideas?

Hello Qualthas,

Thanks for posting your question. I see you have a black screen with a white vertical line on your iPhone display, and I'd like to see if I can assist.

Have you tried the steps from this resource yet? If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen. If not, give that a try; you might be able to resolve the issue with a force restart, or by connecting your device to iTunes in recovery mode and attempting an update/restore.

If you're not able to resolve the issue after trying those steps, use this link to Contact Apple Support next.

Have a good one.
