A lot of garbage dumps are filling up do to the crappy update policies from apple. I get it they want you to buy a new one,But come on. I have a windows 10 tablet that is 6 years old and the updates keep coming. Frustrating and a waste of materials if you ask me.

Apple supports their iPads for 5-6 years, too!

The 2013, 1st gen iPad Air 1 got a full 6 years of iOS upgrades/updates.

The 2014 iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 4 will get a full 6 years of iOS upgrades/updates from Apple.

So, what is your point?

Apple and Apple third party iOS app developers are NOT going to support 7, 8 and 9-year old, or more, legacy iOS devices operating with 3-year old or more iOS versions.

If your iPad has been stuck on iOS 10.3.3 for the past few years, with no upgrades/updates forthcoming, then you own an iPad 4th generation.

A 4th gen iPad cannot be upgraded beyond iOS 10.3.3/10.3.4.

A 4th gen iPad is an over 7-year old device, now!

Its internal hardware is too old, underpowered and completely incompatible with any current and future versions of iOS.

Sorry. It is what it is at this very late date.

If you need an iPad that can run the latest and greatest versions of iOS, as well as, the most current apps available, then, you will need to purchase a new iPad from Apple or a discounted, refurbished iPad from Apple’s Refurbished & Clearance section of Apple’s Website.

Best of Luck to You!
