WiFi network diagnostics

My MacBook says it connects to WiFi, but I can not use the internet. When I run network diagnostics, I get green wi-fi, green WiFi settings, yellow network settings, red isip, internet and server

MacBook Pro, OS X 10.11

Follow the rest of the directions available there, which start with 'Reset your Router' (and then any other networking devices that intervene on the path back toward the internet).


If you Internet settings are yellow, that is telling you they are likely WRONG for ordinary setups. follow the directions to fix them, or create a new "Network Location File" from scratch:
