Even if you are subscribed to Apple Music you are still allowed to purchase music from the iTunes Store. No -- I said that you are still allowed to -- in other words, having a subscription doesn't prevent you from buying music if you want to do that; but you don't have to buy music. It is your choice.
Some people who subscribe also want to buy music because the rights to listen to Apple Music expire if they end their subscription while the rights to listen to purchased music do not expire.

OK so that really didn’t answer my question you’re telling me I have a subscription and I still have to pay for the songs?
