apple pencil stopped working when i updated to 13.4.1, today updated it to 13.5, the problem still persists, trying resting network settings, unpairing the pencil, hardbooting the ipad pro and its still not fixed, please help me out!! Tried the pencil on similar ipad on an older ios 12.4.1, and it works fine there....

I got the Apple Pencil after updating to 13.5.1 and for a whole evening I thought the pencil was dead on arrival.
Here’s how I finally got it paired.
charge your pencil to 100%
reset iPad network settings (do another hard reset just to be safe)
now charge your iPad to 100% and the moment you unplug the cable, plug your pencil in and you should get the much expected ‘pair request’.

Hi there had exactly the same issue, seems to be to be a problem in the new iPadOS. I have an Air 3 and updated it Yesterday to 13.5. I then tried to use my pencil but it wouldn't ever pair. I then tried it on my iPad 6th gen which was still on 13.4.1 and it worked perfectly. So what i did was install 13.4.1 on the air and low and behold the Pencil worked perfectly. The problem was now that it had lost the data but then to restore to a backup it had to be upgraded again. And once i had done all of this it then didn't work again. Seems to be a bug in the new OS. Apple please fix as soon as possible.
Working fine for me. Charge your ipad till 100% and Apple pencil too. After that connect your apple pencil and turn on your bluetooth and leave it for 20 to 30 mins. After that remove your pencil and restart your ipad and connect it again. Make sure your ipad should be 100% battery.
If you are inquiring about downgrading iOS, that is not possible. And, if your iPad supports the 1st generation Apple Pencil, it will not support the 2nd Generation. The suggestions is that you contact Apple Support.
Yes it did worked with only charging my IPad to 100%
I have a Key whiteboard presentation on Zoom, same issue two 1st gen pencils connect via Bluetooth but do not work. BT pairing and fully charged 100% icon shows. Multiple resets, soft and hard, pairing is not the issue! Pencils worked fine before with iPad Pro 9.7 2016 Wi-Fi + 4G LTE Cellular MLQ32LL/A
We are eagerly waiting for Apple 🍎 to acknowledge this as an OS issue. So far they are not, they are saying it’s the hardware, the same pencil works perfectly fine on iOS 12.4.1 but not on iOS 13.4 or 13.5.

So Apple just released 13.5.1, but still no mention of Apple Pencil related issues. I don’t know if this particular update resolves the issue. I’ll wait for the online user reviews before I go ahead and hit the update button.

You didn't read or understand the issue, did you?
It's about 1st generation.
So what should we do? Downgrade or buy a 2nd generation pencil and does 2nd generation pencil support 1st generation iPad Pro
Do you think apple will release a patch for this bug? Because so far they are not acknowledging anything, the support fails to acknowledge this as an issue on their part.
