Notes/Email issues

After having an issue with my AOL email acct on my iphone 7, almost all of my notes are not on my phone any longer. They are however on my email when i access my AOL email from a computer. How can i get my notes back on my phone?

Hello Jacksfamly,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're missing notes from your iPhone, however you can see them when accessing them from your computer. It's possible that you need to simply turn the feature back on in your Mail settings on your iPhone. Please take a look at section: Check your account settings, from article, If you're missing notes on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. It will walk you through how to turn Notes back on for your linked account.

Best wishes.

Hello Jacksfamly,

Thanks for getting back with us and confirming your settings. If you open the Notes app on your iPhone, when you pull up the mail "Folders" screen, do you see only the AOL account? If there is more than that one account, check the others to see if the notes are storing there.

You may also want to try disabling Notes in your account settings, restarting your iPhone and turning it back on. Once the notes have synced back to your device, check to see if they are all present. If you find that you're still missing notes, you may want to remove your AOL account and add it back to your device, to see if that corrects this issue.

Restart your iPhone

If you're missing notes on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch (for quick reference to Settings)

If you can't receive email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Remove your email account and set it up again

Keep us posted on how it goes!

Best regards.

You will notice the in the AOL folder it shows 108 notes. That should be in excess of 300. There almost 300 on my Aol email when i access my account via a computer. I am afraid to turn off notes because i get a message that all AOL notes will be deleted from my phone. Worried that they will also be deleted from my AOL account…, Thanks
