After I update to latest OS 12.2.1 Whenever I unplug and replug my LG Ultrafine Display, all the built-in accessories such as speaker, mic, and webcam do not work. The only way that I could manage to get this work is to restart the mac. however, the issues appear when I unplug the USB-C and replug again.
Any help?
Since it works until you unplug the monitor and when you replug it in it does not show, try booting to Safe Mode. That boot up takes minutes and clears caches and other things that may resolve your problem.

A lot of times just boot to Safe Mode followed by normal boot resolves problems.
12.3 has resolved this issue for me.
Updated from 12.2 to 12.3 today & that fixed the issue for me too.
I also find out more as my macbook pro has 4 usb-c ports two on the left and two on the right,
If I unplug the from the left, the issue happens only when I replug to the ports on the same side.
The is not issue when I use the other two ports on the other side of the mac
Make sure you use the provided cable from LG. Not all USB-C cables are built the same.
I have the same monitor. Everything worked perfectly until I updated to 12.2.1. I do not have hub issues like this post but my monitor no longer runs full 5k resolution :(
@Ericleungsc Apple support has confirmed this is an issue and they are investigating a fix.
I assume you are using a MBA so you need to sequence the startup process. I would connect the monitor before you power up the laptop which should have all working at that time.
+1 to this issue. After first plug in after restart or after restarting in plugged in state all built-in accessories & USB peripherals (keyboard, mouse dongle) work fine. After unplugging & plugging back in only the display works. Also have encountered the laptop crashing after plugging back in.

yes, I am using the usbc cable come with LG.
You are connecting using the TB port outlined with the box on the monitor, correct?

I am having the same issue. Plug in 1 time it works, plug in a second time does not. Reboot and same sequence still true. Certainly a bug
