iPhone SE not recognized by Windows 11 via USB C cable (IS recognized via USB A)

Latest software on phone and computer.

My USB A ports were all full, so I bought a USB C to Lightning cable, but I don't get a charging bong or any indications on either device when they are connected.

USB A to Lightning works fine.

Have tried a couple different USB C - Lightning cables (albeit from same manufacturer) with same result.

Thanks for your insights.

Hi XuanDumPhuc,

Here are a few steps you can try when your computer doesn't recognize your deice If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod.

If it continues, follow these specific steps for Windows PC If your Windows PC doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

From Windows support, as it is isolated to USB-C, also check out Fix USB-C problems in Windows.

Hope this helps.

Have a good day.

A computer tech was recently rooting around in the guts of my desktop.

When he replaced the video card, the ports on the front ended up set back from the edge of the case by a couple of millimeters.

The USB-A males were long enough to still work.

The USB-C males could hang in, but not quite reach the spot.

I'll get him back out, but I'm pretty sure this is the problem.
