Cant activate Factory Reset, Remote Management locked iPhone.

My dad had an iPhone 8 that was locked with a remote management thing on it. I don't know if it was given to him by his work or he put the thing on his own phone, but when he was going to give it to me, he factory reset it and said he didn't know how to get rid of it. he has since passed away, and I don't know if he even knew the password to the management thing. I was looking through my dad's stuff and found the iPhone. I haven't had a Apple device before and I would like to use this phone, And I've tried updating it with iTunes and and making an apple id, but I don't know if its possible to get rid of this. if you have anything to try or know if its even possible, please help me out!
