iPhone battery draining WHILE CONNECTED TO FAST WIRELESS CHARGER on Standby mode
This has happened a couple times to my brand new iPhone 16 Pro on a certified Apple wireless fast charger (25W) while plugged into a 30W charging block:
I attach my phone to the wireless charger. The phone recognizes it’s attached to a fast charger (lightning bolts in the image) and yet the battery drains overnight while on Standby mode.
I refuse to believe that changing background refresh settings or closing out apps will fix this issue. It’s simply not possible that background refresh is draining the battery OVERNIGHT, WHEN NOT IN USE faster than the 25 watts being delivered to the phone through the fast wireless charger.
This is an intermittent issue that has happened a couple times.
This is a bug in the software or a UX issue. If the phone is not receiving fast charging wattage, then the UI shouldn’t indicate that it is receiving said wattage.
When tapping on the overnight blue bars, screen active time is 0M and screen idle time is 1H. For now, I’m turning standby mode off. But so far, I’m super disappointed in the quality of the iPhone 16 Pro and the performance of its battery / charging.
Is anyone encountering this?
