What to do when 3rd party keyboards malfunction on my iPhone running iOS 26?

I'm having issues with my 3rd party keyboards. The issues are multiple. The worst one is that very often my keyboard is covering the send button in all my messaging apps. In order to "reveal" the send button I have to leave the app and re-enter. Another issue is that sometimes there is a huge gray space above the keyboard that hides all the contents of my chat. I tried multiple 3rd party keyboards. I reset my phone after the ios 26 update and updated to ios26.0.1.

I'm using a 3rd party keyboard because the original ios keyboard is unusable in my native language.

This is a huge deal breaker. I would have to switch to android if I can't resolve it.

Sounds like the 3rd party keyboards haven't been optimized for iOS 26 appropriately. Apple doesn't own these keyboards, so Apple can't fix them. Contact the App Developers of these non-Apple keyboards and ask them to fix them for iOS 26.

Swiftkey and gboard have not been updated yet and contacting support is very difficult for both

The only two ways I found were to downgrade to ios 18, which I don't have the time for currently and another way is to switch to android which I'm seriously considering 😒

Thank you for that suggestion. It's a nice app but the globe button is working in a very weird way. Also no predictive text
