At "Sign in with your Apple ID" screen I get error message "Account_Unavailable."

New Macbook Air M3. At "Sign in with your Apple ID" screen I get error message "Account_Unavailable." I have no sign in issues when accessing https://account.apple.com/sign-in or https://www.icloud.com/ . In the account settings I have successfully verified my email address (Apple ID) and updated some setting information. I even reset my password successfully. I successfully removed this email address as a secondary (not primary) address on my company Apple ID account. I have no clue why it's not working and I really don't want to setup a new email address and new Apple ID.

My Apple ID was setup before they implemented two factor authentication. To resolve this issue during Sign in, I needed to add 2FA. Once 2FA was enabled and working, I was able to sign in.
