iMessage Recovery

Hi! I use iCloud on my mac and phone, I reset my laptop recently due to issues it was having and lost all local files on it, as well as iMessages but was able to get all my iCloud materials back through logging in. I now got a new laptop and went through the same process of logging into iCloud to get my photos and other iCloud filed onto this laptop.

I was wondering if there was a way to recover old iMessages onto my laptop through iCloud if I still have all of these messages on my phone? It says they're taking up iCloud storage so I assume they're living somewhere in the cloud but don't want to lose my messages when I get a new phone eventually (and would love to be able to access them from my computer as well). Let me know if possible!

One final q – am I correct to assume that there's no way to recover any local files that were being stored in my Music app library that were deleted when I reset my computer?
